At this prestigious school, students from various parts of the world learned Arabic by utilizing a concise curriculum titled “The Beneficial Fundamentals in Learning the Arabic Language,” written by Abu Rayhana Abdul-Hakim Kamil, a student of the late Shaykh Muqbil Ibn Hadi Al-Wadi’ee. He was motivated to write what became a series of 5-books when he found many non-Arab students struggling to learn Arabic and became overwhelmed by these difficulties and eventually abandoned their studies. He observed these difficulties primarily stemmed from faulty study habits along with many deficiencies he found in the books that were written to teach Arabic.
