In consideration of this dilemma, we are more than honored to take you by the hand and lead you step by step to the threshold of studying Arabic with proficiency. Verily, there are plenty of misconceptions, exaggerations, and blatant fabrications regarding learning Arabic. There are those who claim to have found newly invented ways to grasp this language. Some assert this can be accomplished easily, within a short time. In contrast, others promise this goal by memorizing an abundance of vocabulary words. The truth of the matter is there are no shortcuts. However, with proper directions, good study habits, and a well-structured course, learning can be simplified, and the goal can be achieved.

Our intention with this blog is to pave the way for you to learn Arabic correctly by explaining to you the necessary tools needed to achieve your goal and to rid you of erroneous conceptions which only cause intimidation. Do not be from among the innumerous who embarked upon studying Arabic but did not excel. Learning Arabic requires more than a class. Instead, it necessitates a course of study. Thus, we present to you the curriculum that was used in the renowned School of Hadith in Damaaj, Yemen, founded by the late honorable Shaykh Muqbil Ibn Hadi Al-Wadi’ee (may Allah bestow His mercy upon him). The reputation and scholastic achievements of this institution speak for themselves. At this prestigious school, students from various parts of the world learned Arabic by utilizing a concise curriculum titled “The Beneficial Fundamentals in Learning the Arabic Language,” written by Abu Rayhana Abdul-Hakim Kamil, a student of the late Shaykh Muqbil Ibn Hadi Al-Wadi’ee. He was motivated to write what became a series of 5-books when he found many non-Arab students struggling to learn Arabic and became overwhelmed by these difficulties and eventually abandoned their studies. He observed these difficulties primarily stemmed from faulty study habits along with many deficiencies he found in the books that were written to teach Arabic. Thus, before the book distribution and the commencement of our free online classes, we want to prepare you with the do’s and don’ts of learning Arabic to ensure that you achieve the full benefit of each lesson and proceed through the book with confidence and satisfaction.
