The time has come once again for me to thank Allah for enabling me to publish Islamic literature which illustrates for the Muslims how to practice their religion correctly. I am elated to announce the release of my new book ‘The Great Escape: Seeking Refuge with Allah.’ The release of this book could not have been at a more opportune time, as it focuses on how to find shelter and protection from the illnesses and bad habits many are plagued with. The social dilemmas we are faced with in this day and age have left humanity aimlessly seeking safety with nowhere to run. Where is the escape route from addiction, with its numerous variations? Where is the escape route from suicide that is constantly pushing our youth over the edge? In which direction do we fail to escape from insatiable desires that have devoured our valuable time and money? Seeking refuge with Allah is an act of worship essential for repelling potential harm as well as alleviating ailments we are afflicted with. Thus, its significance is paramount in the life of the Muslim. In The Great Escape, I explain the meaning of seeking refuge and what this honorable act of worship entails. In general, all Muslims understand that Allah is capable of protecting them from the greatest of harms. However, what remains unknown is how we flee to Allah seeking His shelter and protection. Additionally, I highlight the numerous detriments in which the prophets and the righteous before us sought refuge from. Thus, the reader learns the kinds of detriments the Prophets Nuh (ﷺ), Ibrahim (ﷺ) and Musa (ﷺ) fled from, seeking Allah’s protection. Also, how the righteous before us sought refuge for their offspring, like Maryam, the mother of Isa and his grandmother, the wife of ‘Imran. A large section of the book displays the numerous authentic supplications of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), which serve as an eye-opener to many of the dangers that jeopardize both religious and worldly matters. Although, it is a short, quick read, is it packed with over 30 chapters of valuable information. With the permission of Allah, the book will be available for purchase within a month’s time on Amazon. I ask Allah the Most High for His aid and blessings.
First and foremost, I thank Allah for allowing my goal of disseminating these valuable lessons among the Muslims to materialize and for aiding me in self-publishing. Further, I thank my editor who worked relentlessly with me in this project. Also, those who read the book and provided beneficial feedback, and those who assisted with publishing, either with information, finances or designing the cover. Also, the technical support, operating our blog, From Print to Practice. May Allah bless them all.
